First Baptist Church of Brandon Burglary: Can You ID the Suspect?

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking for help identifying a man wanted in connection with Brandon church burglary.

BRANDON, FL — As Hillsborough County deputies search for a man wanted in connection with a Sunday morning burglary at First Baptist Church of Brandon, they’re turning to the public for help.

A video of the suspect wanted in connection with the crime has been released.

According to deputies, someone broke into the 216 N. Parsons Ave. church through an unlocked door around 6:43 a.m. Oct. 9. Once inside, the person kicked open an office door, went through a desk and took cash. The man was interrupted during the burglary and left the church, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect in question is described as a white male between the age of 30 and 49. He stands about 5-foot-8, has a tattoo on his right forearm and has wavy hair. The man also wears glasses and was last seen carrying a black shirt and wearing basketball shorts and black shoes.

Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200. Tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 800-873-TIPS.
