Gridiron Legend to Speak at Seffner School

Seffner Christian Academy will host a retired coach who is a Florida legend in college football.

Roger Duncan, administrator at Seffner Christian Academy, sought to raise the profile of his school.

He has found the answer with former Florida State University football coach Bobby Bowden.

According to TBO.com, the retired coach is the keynote speaker on April 11 at a fundraising dinner.

Duncan told TBO.com:

"Our main focus is getting people on our campus and have them learn about our school. There are people in this community who have never heard of us and don't even know there's a school here."

The visit means a lot to the school, which teaches K-12, and has 750 students.

According to TBO.com, Bowden is scheduled to arrive on campus at 2 p.m. April 11 to address secondary students.

At 5:30 p.m. there will be a reception for the coach. He will give autographs and there will be photo opportunities.

The signature event starts at 7 p.m., with tickets $75. VIP tickets are $250, according to TBO.com.
