- The Rotary Club of Tampa East and Sabal Park Chamber of Commerce together will host the Tampa East Spring Fest from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Southwest Florida College Campus in the Greater Brandon area of Tampa. The address is 3910 Riga Blvd. Car show, food trucks, boats, bounce houses and games. Admission is free and proceeds raised will beneft local charities, including Rotary's Camp Florida in Brandon and the Ronald McDonald House initiative. The event is sponsored by Southwest Florida College. Sam's Club ACHAFR. and Gopher Resource.
- The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce is set to host Spring Fest 2012 at Riverview High School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The high school is at 11311 Boyette Road. Including with this year's festival, a High Rollers car show and, for the kids, a play area with inflatables, games, face painting, pony rides and more. High school performers and merchandise vendors, live music and and martial arts and dance demonstrations and shows. Admision and parking are free.

- This month's "Teach Your Talent" offering at The Regent features Stampin' Up representatives Karen Beyers and Deanna Stec, who will demonstrate the production of cards, scrapbook pages and 3-dimensional paper creations. The 90-minute session kicks off at 5:30 p.m., in the lower-level community room. The monthly "Teach Your Talent" workshop is free.

Event: April 18
- , at 102 Mason St., No. 3, has scheduled a grand re-opening, set to begin 11 a.m. April 18. The full-service salon and spa large-scale renovation. The expanded fitness area is for pole fitness, Zumba, yoga and belly dancing classes. The spa is under the ownership of Octavia Stoppa, a 15-year Brandon business veteran. Services include hair coloring, releaving, waving, extensions, precision cuts and Brazilian keratine treatments. Services also include teeth whitening, pedicures, manicures, waxing, facials and massage. The salon's gift shop, Spicy Treasures, features clothing, lingerie and novelties. Grand re-opening event features prizes, giveaways and specials. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served. Call: 813-661-7144.

- Brandon resident Renee Sharifranzy has been honored with an award for five years of service at First Bank. Sharifranzy is vice president and senior branch manager of the First Bank at 110 West Bloomingdale Ave. in Brandon.
- HCA, the parent company of , has been named by Fortune magazine as the "World's Most Admired Healthcare Company." Of the nine attributes considered, HCA ranked No. 1 in five: quality management, people management, use of corporate assets, long-term investment and global competitiveness. This marks the second year HCA was ranked No. 1 in its category. Across all industries, Apple was ranked No. 1 in the list that Fortune posted in its March 19 issue.

Product Overhaul:
- A dessert menu overhaul at kicks off April 16 with the introduction of a Chocolate Chunk Cookie, an improved Fudge Brownie, three new sundae offerings and, for a limited time, the return of the Banana Pudding Milkhake. New sundae offerings are fudge brownie, chocolate chunk cookie and a mini-sundae option.
