- Special of the day is Coddle Stew with Soda Bread, at $3.49 for a bowl and $8.99 for a quart. Also on the menu: Corned Beef & Cabbage, Classic Reuben, Irish Omelet and Corned Beef Hash. The cafe is at 401 South Parsons Ave. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- The pub on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, is hosting a “Sexy Miss Patty” contest, with a $100 winner announced at 6 p.m. and at midnight.
- The grand St. Patrick’s Day celebration kicks off March 17 at 11 a.m., with featured Irish dishes. Set to perform: Irish dancers and Tampa Bay Pipes and Drums. Live outdoor concert, featuring Latraia and The All Starz, kicks off at 7 p.m. The event runs through 2 a.m. March 18. Later that day, an Irish brunch, with bloody Mary’s, is set to be served at 11 a.m. It’s also “Sunday Funday on the Paddy’O” with Vega and “All-Request Night” with DJ Mike Sneed.
- Doors open St. Patrick’s Day at 10:30 a.m., with an Irish menu served all day. Live rugby, Ireland versus England, will be aired at 1 p.m. Live Irish music, with Bob Vesey, is scheduled from 2 p.m. to “late.” Tampa Bay Pipes and Drums will perform at 7 p.m., followed by Irish dancers at 8:30 p.m. “Save the Radio,” billed as “Tampa’s No. 1 Irish American rock band,” is set to perform outdoors, under a tent, staring at 9 p.m. There is a $10 cover charge after 4 p.m. Additional parking is available in the Petsmart parking lot.
- At Tadpoles, “it is easy being green,” with a no-cover party in the parking lot set to run from 2-11 p.m. on March 17. Live music, food and beverages are on tap for the pub and eatery at 115 E. Brandon Blvd.
