Tampa Man Killed In Falkenburg, Adamo Crash

A Wednesday morning crash on Adamo Drive and Falkenburg Road left a Tampa man dead and a Brandon man seriously injured.

TAMPA, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred early Wednesday morning along Adamo Drive and Falkenburg Road.

According to the agency, Johnathan Nicholas Honza, 28, of Brandon was heading west in the center lane of Adamo Drive around 3:20 a.m. Jan. 4. At that time, a vehicle driven by Dontae Jamal Hill, 25, of Tampa was heading south in the inside left turn lane of Falkenburg Road nearing the intersection of Adamo Drive. A third vehicle, driven by Paula Whitten, 37, of Tampa was stopped, facing east for a red light on Adamo and Faklenburg.

Troopers say Hill drove into the intersection as Honza “violated the red signal.” Honza’s vehicle hit the driver’s side of Hill’s. Debris from the impact also hit Whitten’s vehicle.
