The unknown suspects set a fire on the basketball court at the Ruskin Recreational Center, and they broke overhead light fixtures in the outdoor picnic pavilion area Tues, March 3, investigators said. Before they walked over to the basketball court, a surveillance video showed the individuals getting out of a black four-door sedan at the location's parking lot, 901 Sixth Street, SE just after midnight, according to authorities.
"Our detectives want to talk to these individuals and are asking anyone who recognizes them from the surveillance video to please help us identify them," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "We are working to determine who caused this costly and senseless damage to a public park that is enjoyed by people of all ages."
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.
