TAMPA, FL - A Hillsborough County deputy shot a 35-year-old Tampa man who charged at him with a screwdriver, according to the sheriff's office. Babak Payrow is in critical condition at a local hospital.
On Wednesday, Deputy David Cloud was on routine patrol in a residential neighborhood when he observed a suspicious person walking in the 5300 block of Brushy Creek Drive. Cloud gave numerous commands to get back. The deputy pulled his service weapon and shot the suspect at least one time. The deputy was not injured.
