CLEARWATER, FL — Two women accused of repeatedly throwing containers of glitter at a man following an early-morning argument at a Clearwater apartment face felony charges.
According to an affidavit obtained by Patch, Kaitlin O’Donovan, 27, and Sarah Franks, 29, went to an apartment on Fairwood Avenue on Monday just before 3 a.m. and began arguing with a man standing on his fenced balcony.
The affidavit does not say what led to the argument. However, during the heated exchange, police said the two women threw a container of glitter at the man, striking him in the upper torso and head.

Police said Franks then climbed over the balcony fence and went into the man's apartment, where she continued to throw more containers of glitter at him.

According to the affidavit, Franks then opened the apartment's front door to let O'Donovan inside. Once O'Donovan was in the apartment, she, too, began throwing more containers of glitter at the man.

Authorities did not say where the glitter came from.
Police said Franks also kicked a window to the man's apartment so hard, it broke.
Franks eventually fled the apartment complex in a vehicle, however, officers were able to quickly track it down to a home on Seville Boulevard. When police located the vehicle, they said it was still warm to the touch, and they noticed glitter inside.

Police said they also spotted Franks walking nearby in the same clothing her alleged victim described her as wearing to police.
Following O'Donovan's and Frank's arrest, police said the pair were read their Miranda rights and refused to speak to police.
Both women are charged with felony burglary with assault or battery. In addition, Franks was charged with criminal mischief of less than $200, a misdemeanor.
