47-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot In Clearwater Apartment

CLEARWATER, FL — A 47-year-old man was found dead inside a Clearwater apartment Friday night following a shooting.

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department responded to a shooting just after 11 p.m. Friday at Highland Park Apartments, 2075 N. Highland Ave.

In addition to finding the dead man, police discovered a woman who had been shot in the leg. She was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said the shooting occurred during a fight inside the apartment. Detectives have questioned the person who fired the shots, but released no other details.
