ACA Enrollment Assistance Available In Pinellas
Health Care Navigators can guide residents through Affordable Care Act insurance plans.

CLEARWATER, FL – With Affordable Care Act open enrollment officially underway, Pinellas County residents can receive free assistance to help choose a plan.
Health Care Navigators will be stationed around Pinellas County throughout the open enrollment period, which ends Friday, Dec. 15.
According to HealthCare.gov, a Navigator is an individual or organization trained to help consumers, small businesses and their employees looking for health coverage options through the Marketplace.

Pinellas County is partnering with libraries and neighborhood centers to host enrollment events. Some of the upcoming Navigator enrollment events in Pinellas County include:
Saturday, Nov. 4
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: St. Petersburg Main Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N.
- Noon to 4 p.m.: Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave.
Saturday, Nov. 11
- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Pinellas County Human Services – St. Petersburg, 647 First Ave. N.
- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Pinellas County Human Services – Clearwater, 2189 Cleveland St., Suite 230
Saturday, Nov. 18
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: St. Petersburg Main Library
- Noon to 4 p.m.: Clearwater Main Library
Aside from the enrollment events, Navigators are stationed across the country to provide easy access to assistance. On a day-to-day basis, residents can make an appointment with a Navigator to:

- Explore options, plan prices and benefits available through the ACA
- Obtain assistance in determining eligibility on sliding-scale subsidies and tax credits
- Review any free or low-cost programs for which they
- Receive referrals to alternative medical care
- Obtain enrollment assistance to find a health care package best suited to their needs
The Navigator program is supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
