Clearwater House Burns as Storm Rages
Cleawater firefighters battled a morning house fire Thursday as Tropical Storm Andrea unleashes a storm across the region.
Thirty-two firefights fought a fire early Thursday morning at a vacant Clearwater house, at 1124 Howard St.
A neighbor phoned 911 at 5:31 a.m. to report that a fire was burning throughout the structure. Firefighters found the house engulfed in flames from front to back.
The flames were extinguished in 20 minutes. There were no injuries.
The house is located just west of Missouri Avenue and north of Belleair Road.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
