CLEARWATER, FL — These Clearwater police officers don't only walk a beat. Once a year on International Walk to School Day, they also accompany students to their schools.

Clearwater police officers participated in International Walk To School Day Wednesday morning at elementary schools across the city. The agency's traffic enforcement team, along with patrol officers, met students near their schools early Wednesday morning and then made their way to school alongside them.

At Skycrest Elementary School, the Clearwater High School band and cheerleaders were part of the group walking students safely to school.
