Clearwater Police Raise Money for Special Olympics with 'Tip-A-Cop' at Red Robin

Join the Clearwater Police force as they wait tables this Saturday at Red Robin to benefit this year's Special Olympics.

Clearwater Police will be serving some ‘just desserts’ as they wait tables Saturday to benefit this year’s Special Olympics through the annual Tip-A-Cop event.

Tip-A-Cop takes place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Red Robin at Countryside Mall, located at 27001 U.S. Highway 19 N. in Clearwater.

“The student-athletes who participate in the Special Olympics are heroes who inspire police officers,” said Chief Dan Slaughter, one of 17 from CPD who will be participating. “We are proud to be able to support the Special Olympics.”

Tip-A-Cop events will be held at more than 350 Red Robin restaurants in 36 states throughout October. In less than 10 years, Tip-A-Cop events have raised more than $2.7 million to support the Special Olympics as well as year-round sports training and athletic competitions.
