Clearwater Shooting Under Investigation

A 38-year-old man was shot multiple times during a Sunday incident in unincorporated Clearwater.

CLEARWATER, FL — An early Sunday morning shooting that left a 38-year-old man with life-threatening injuries is under investigation by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the agency, deputies were called to the 14600 block of 64th Street North, in unincorporated Clearwater, around 7:23 a.m. Sept. 24. When they arrived, they found Taoufik Borji suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies say Borji was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

“Detectives say the shooting does not appear random,” an email from the agency said.
