Clearwater Stabbing Under Investigation

CLEARWATER, FL — The Clearwater Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

According to the agency, the incident was reported at 2 p.m. Sept. 20 after the victim, an adult male, ran to the 100 block of Waverly Way after being stabbed while in the 1300 block of Franklin Street.

The man, who has not been identified by police, was treated on the scene and then airlifted to Bayfront Health as a trauma alert, an email from the agency said.

Police say his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
