FL Slingshot Driver Hospitalized After Crash
Impairment is thought to be a factor in an Oldsmar crash that left a Slingshot driver with life-threatening injuries, deputies said.
OLDSMAR, FL — A Slingshot driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a Saturday evening crash in Oldsmar, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Impairment is thought to be a factor in the crash, PCSO added.
Rodolfo Ballester Sanchez, 56, was driving the three-wheeled motorcycle when he stopped at the intersection of East Woodlands Parkway and was about to turn east onto Tampa Road around 6:40 p.m.

Sanchez drove around a stopped vehicle, entered the Tampa Road intersection and hit a Chevrolet Corvette, which was heading north on East Lake Club Drive and had the right of way, the sheriff’s office said.
Sanchez was brought to a local hospital with serious injuries after the crash.

The Corvette’s driver, Kevin Farrell, 49, was uninjured and cooperated with deputies.
