Update: Clearwater Woman Struck, Killed By Lightning On Sand Key
A 73-year-old woman was struck and killed by a bolt of lightning on Wednesday evening on Sand Key.

CLEARWATER, FL — A 73-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a bolt of lightning on Wednesday evening in Clearwater has been identified.
At 7:45 p.m., Clearwater police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a woman who was struck by lightning in the 1300 block of Gulf Boulevard on Sand Key.
The woman was found dead on a sidewalk inside the Bayside Gardens IV condominium complex between the parking area and one of the condominium buildings. There were no witnesses to the incident.
