DUI Detail Nets Nine Arrests

Clearwater Police report a nearly two hour wait for taxi cab services during a New Year's DUI enforcement detail.

Clearwater Police officers were stationed throughout the city on the lookout for impaired drivers during New Year's.

Rather than risk the drive many chose to take a cab.

"Some local cab companies reported a two hour wait for their services, which indicates more drivers who had been drinking used these services rather than risk driving themselves," Elizabeth Watts, police spokeswoman, said in a release.
