Dunedin Woman, 35, Killed In Clearwater Crash
A pedestrian was killed on U.S. 19 in Clearwater early Wednesday morning when she was hit by a tractor trailer.

CLEARWATER, FL — A 35-year-old Dunedin woman was killed early Wednesday morning on U.S. 19 near Sunset Point Road in Clearwater.
According to Clearwater Police, officers were called to the area around 1 a.m. Sept. 20. Police say Jessica Peeples was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Covington Wall, 50, of Tampa. Wall was heading south on U.S. 19 when Peeples “walked into the southbound lanes of traffic,” an email from the agency said. Wall was unable to avoid striking Peeples, the police department said.

The crash closed southbound lanes north of Sunset Road for several hours Wednesday morning.
No charges have been announced in the crash. Further information is not yet being released.
