Farmers Market Set To Open In Downtown Clearwater On Saturday

The Clearwater Farmers Market is set to open on Saturday, Feb. 24 in its new location in downtown Clearwater on Cleveland Street

CLEARWATER, FL - The Clearwater Farmers Market is set to open on Saturday, Feb. 24 in its new location in downtown Clearwater in the 500-600 blocks of Cleveland Street. The market is a weekly, year-round market held every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., rain or shine.

In addition to farm fresh produce, customers will find artisan body care products, pet treats and a variety of specialty foods and beverages. Dana Brown of the Market Management says: "We are excited about combining the market vendors and local merchants of the Cleveland Street District to provide a unique community gathering experience."

The weekend begins on Friday, Feb. 23 with Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Blast Friday featuring the Romantics. Visitors to the free festival in downtown Clearwater will find food trucks and vendors serving a variety of food, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy while listening to some old time classic rock by The Romantics. Kris Koch, the city of Clearwater's Parks and Recreation Department planning and project manager, adds: "The city of Clearwater is excited for the launch of the Clearwater Farmers Market in our scenic downtown. A grand opening on Feb. 24 alongside our incredibly successful Sea-Blues Festival is going to be a great thing for our residents, visitors and merchants."
