Island Estates Traffic Control Devices Destroyed
Clearwater Police are asking the public to help find the suspect involved in damaging traffic control devices set up as part of a project to replace four bridges on Island Estates.

Clearwater Police are asking the public to help find the suspect involved in damaging traffic control devices in Island Estates.
"Numerous 'flex posts' were cut off at the base of their post supports – effectively removing the warning devices from the roadway in both the 400 block of Island Way and on Harbor Passage," Clearwater Police posted on its Facebook page Tuesday.
It is against the law to damage or remove traffic control devices and considered an act of criminal mischief, according to police.
The devices were installed as part of a project to replace four bridges on Island Estates. Bridge reconstruction, and design is currently underway. Several roads underwent temporary traffic pattern redirection as part of this work.
