Multiple Road Closures Planned This Week

Traffic calming, a crane and a Cinco de Mayo celebration are the cause for several road closures in Clearwater this week.
Southridge Drive from Highland to Hillcrest avenues is closed Monday April 29 and Tuesday, April 30, as crews work to replace stormwater piping as part of the Hillcrest-Brookhill Traffic Calming project. Local traffic is allowed. Other drivers can use Belleair Road as a detour.
Garden Avenue from Drew to Cleveland streets is closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, as a crane is put in place to repair air conditioning equipment on the roof of 33 N. Garden Avenue. Myrtle Avenue can be used as a detour. Hendricks Street, between East and Waterson avenues, and Laura Street, from East Avenue to Hendricks Street, also will be closed. Drew Street can be used as a detour.

Cleveland Street from Betty Lane to Missouri Avenue is closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 4, for the East Gateway Farmers Market Cinco de Mayo celebration. Lincoln, Pierce, and Missouri avenues can be used as detours.
