Pinellas Launches Hurricane Irma Recovery Tour

Staff members from the Pinellas County Citizen Information Center plan to hit the road to help residents with Hurricane Irma recovery.

CLEARWATER, FL — Pinellas County residents in need of assistance following Hurricane Irma’s run across the state last week may not have to leave their neighborhoods to find help. The county’s Citizen Information Center on Tuesday announced the kickoff of a road tour of sorts.

“This week, the Pinellas County Citizen Information Center is going on the road after two weeks of offering live phone assistance to more than 55,000 callers,” the center explained in an email to media. County staff plan to visit communities across Pinellas to provide information on programs and assistance that may be available to help them. Information that will provided includes FEMA disaster assistance applications, consumer protection tips, post-storm resources and more.
