Police: Man Kidnapped, Threatened Woman with Knife

Christopher Reed, 23, of 311 S Betty Apt 12 has been arrested by Clearwater Police on charges of kidnapping and sexual battery with a deadly weapon. Bond has been set at $100,000. 

According to a report by the Tampa Bay Times, Reed is accused of threatening "a woman with a knife and tried to rape her."

Friday evening, an arrest report said, he invited the woman into his home at 311 South Betty Lane. He then dragged her into his bedroom and threatened to kill her if she didn't have sex with him. Reed beat her, but the woman fought back. Police said he penetrated her with his fingers.

According to jail records Reed has a lengthy criminal history that includes: Possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, robbery and eight charges of sale of cocaine.
