Sears, Walmart Portrait Studios Close
With little notice the in-store photo studios shuttered across the U.S., ending what had been an annual holiday and special-occasion tradition in families.
It has been an annual tradition in many families – heading to the portrait studio at Sears or Walmart for a special occasion photo of the kids or entire family.
But digital photography changed that, according to YDR.com.
Walmart and Sears portrait studios suddenly went dark last week, a total of 2,000 closings across the U.S. The closings included Clearwater stores.

A brief notice ran on the websites for Sears Portrait Studio and PictureMe Portrait Studios:
"After many years of providing family portrait photography, we are sad to announce our PictureMe Portrait Studios (and Sears Portrait Studios) are now closed."
