Deputies: Woman Attacked Early Monday in High Point

A 25-year-old woman suffered a cut to her back after two men knocked her to the ground early Monday morning as she walked home in the High Point area of unincorporated Clearwater.

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies are searching for two men who attacked a 25-year old woman early Monday morning in the High Point area of unincorporated Clearwater.

The woman, who is not being identified because of the nature of the incident, was walking home from a friend's house, a couple block distance, around 1 a.m., according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

The attackers did not steal anything from her, according to investigators. The woman was able to get home and knock on the front door. Her roommate came out, saw she was injured and called 911, according to officials.

The victim was taken to the hospital by Bayflite with non-life threatening injuries, according to investigators.

No description of the suspects was made available.
