Small Plane Crashes After Take-Off From Clearwater Airpark
The pilot was the only occupant of the plane and refused medical treatment on the scene.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Fire & Rescue and Clearwater police were called to the scene of a small plane crash at Clearwater Airpark, 1000 N. Hercules Ave., just after noon Wednesday.
According to police, the pilot was taking off and was about 200 feet in the air when the engine appeared to lose power. He refused medical treatment on scene.
The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
