Toddler’s Drowning Death Under Investigation
The death of a 1-year-old Clearwater boy is under investigation by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

CLEARWATER, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 1-year-old boy who was found submerged in his family’s bathtub Thursday night. According to the agency, the incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. Sept. 28 in the 300 block of 69th Street North in unincorporated Clearwater.
Deputies were told Liam Morris, 1, was in the tub while his bath was being prepared for him. The child’s father, Alan Morris, pulled him from the water and called 911, an email from the sheriff’s office said. The boy's mother, Madelynne, performed CPR until Largo Fire Rescue arrived on the scene. Liam was taken to a local hospital, but later died, the sheriff’s office said.
