Florida Zika Virus Cases Near 800
The state of Florida’s total Zika virus case count climbed to 799 Tuesday, Sept. 13 with the announcement of 13 new travel-related cases and six non-travel related infections. The new travel-related cases included two in the Tampa Bay area.

Review of Unarmed Black Man’s Shooting Death Takes New Turn
An investigation into the Aug. 30 shooting death of an unarmed black man by a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy took a new turn Tuesday. State Attorney Mark Ober has recused himself from the review, citing a long-term friendship with the deputy’s family.
