Trash Bin, Folding Chairs Collected at Glen Oaks Park Cleanup
Volunteers picked up 780 pounds of trash including plastic bottles, styrofoam, a trash bin and three folding chairs during a cleanup March 23 at Glen Oaks Park.
Volunteers loaded into boats in an effort to help remove 780 pounds of trash and debris from Glen Oaks Park March 23.
The 19 volunteers took to eights boats to pick up mostly floatable debris like plastic bottles and styrofoam trash, filling a large bin during three hours March 23, according to Sarah Josuns, environmental specialist with the city.
They also removed a black trash bin, three folding chairs and a vacuum cleaner hose.

“The clean up was a great success," Josuns said in an email.
