Vote for Phinley! Clearwater Mascot Advances to Championship Round

If Mascot Mania were a beauty contest, Phinley the Clearwater Thresher would be balancing a tiara on his oversized head right now.

Way to go, Phinley. The big, gray land shark has advanced to the Championship Round in the 2013 Mascot Mania competition in Minor League Baseball. Phinley, who gives all his phans a high-phin, is the winner of the Florida State League in League Round voting.

But Phinley still needs his phans' help. They can't phail him now, as the Championship Round gets under way.

The Championship Round runs from Aug. 1-8. This is a people's choice award, so you can vote often and with enthusiasm for Phinley the Clearwater Thresher.
