88-Year-Old Woman Killed In Accident In Dunedin

DUNEDIN, FL — An 88-year-old woman has died following an accident Sunday morning in Dunedin.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, around 11:30 p.m. Sylvia Gurzynski was traveling west on Spanish Vistas Drive and stopped at Belcher Road. A gold Ford Explorer, driven by 18-year-old Arthur Ames, was traveling north on Belcher Road.

Investigators said Gurzynski slowly began to roll into the curb lane of northbound Belcher Road when her vehicle was struck by the Ford Explorer.

Gurzynski was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Ames and the passenger of his vehicle were not injured.
