Construction Project May Delay Traffic on San Salvador

A drainage projects gets under way Monday and may tie up traffic. Here is what you need to know avoid it.

Crews begin a lengthy drainage project starting Monday, June 10.

Keystone Excavating begins construction starting at San Helen and San Salvador drives, which serves as an entrance to San Jose Elementary and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

But crews will continue west along San Salvador toward St. Joseph Sound.

Drivers are asked to follow detours to allow for the construction work to get done.

The project is to ease flooding along San Salvador Drive on both sides of Lake Paloma.

This is a long-term project, and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
