DUI Manslaughter Charges Filed Against 18-Year-Old In Dunedin Crash

An 18-year-old man is facing an additional charge of DUI manslaughter in the fatal crash that took the life of 75-year-old Marion Miller.

DUNEDIN, FL — An 18-year-old man is facing an additional charge of DUI manslaughter in the fatal crash that took the life of 75-year-old Marion Miller in Dunedin.

On April 5 at around 10:50 p.m., Pinellas County sheriff's deputies responded to a crash at Belcher and Curlew roads in Dunedin.

According to investigators, Dominic Rampi was driving a 2011 BMW335I south on Belcher Road at a high rate of speed. As Rampi approached Curlew Road, he ran a red light.

Miller was driving a 2013 Dodge Charger east on Curlew Road. As Miller entered the intersection on a green light, her car was struck by Rampi's BMW. The Dodge Charger then was propelled into a 2010 Mazda driven by 38-year-old Rachel Worley, who was not injured.

Miller was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Rampi was taken to the hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.

The sheriff's office said toxicology reports revealed that Rampi was under the influence of both alcohol and marijuana at the time of the accident. On Wednesday, deputies arrested Ramp and charged him with DUI manslaughter. He was previously charged with vehicular manslaughter.
