Dunedin Parks & Rec To Host Free Seminar On Scams Targeting Seniors

DUNEDIN, FL — Dunedin Parks & Recreation hosts a free seminar on "Senior Scams" presented by Pinellas County Office of Consumer Protection Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Hale Senior Activity Center, 330 Douglas Ave.

While it's true that technology has opened up new opportunities for scammers, in reality, crooks use the same age-old tricks to get people to hand over their money and personal information.

Pinellas County Consumer Protection will show seniors how these crooks target their victims, how to spot a scam and what to do to avoid becoming a victim.
