Elderly Woman Killed While Walking In Crosswalk of Dunedin Road
The 79-year-old woman was being escorted in the crosswalk on Edgewater Drive when she was struck by a pickup truck.
DUNEDIN, FL — A 79-year-old woman was killed Saturday while crossing Edgewater Drive in Dunedin.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called at 6:50 p.m. to the area of Edgewater Drive and Main Street after Nazire Blloshmi was struck by a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by 52-year-old Anna Walker-Parisi.
Blloshmi was being escorted in the designated crosswalk by 47-year-old Stela Mema when sheriff's deputies said Walker-Parisi turned left onto Edgewater Drive and struck the elderly woman, deputies said.

Investigators said speed and impairment were not factors in the crash.
