Homeowners Association Manager Embezzled Nearly $25K: Pinellas Sheriff
The manager used the money to pay her mortgage, shop on Amazon and buy new windows for her home, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

DUNEDIN, FL — A former homeowners association manager faces charges after embezzling nearly $25,000 from the association, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Stephanie Lopez, 56, of Oldsmar, who worked at Mediterranean Manors in Dunedin, was charged with scheme to defraud and grand theft.
Detectives began investigating Lopez in May after receiving reports from her employer, Harbeck Hospitality, the management company for the condo complex.

Investigators learned that Lopez would use Mediterranean Manor’s homeowners association funds to pay her bills, including her mortgage, insurance, and cable, as well as Amazon purchases and new windows for her home, the sheriff’s office said.
She secretly misappropriated $24,664.88 in funds.

She was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
