Network Breach Detected By City Of Dunedin, Investigation Underway
An investigation is underway after Dunedin officials discovered a cybersecurity breach in its network on Tuesday.
DUNEDIN, FL — An investigation is underway after Dunedin officials discovered a cybersecurity breach in its network on Tuesday.
Dunedin water and wastewater treatment facilities are secure, said city officials.
City government phones are working and updates will be available through the city website and city of Dunedin social media platforms.

Currently the following are not accessible: City email, online payments for permits, inspection scheduling, utility billing and parks, and recreation programs and marina fees.

Due to the cybersecurity incident, the city is unable to accept credit cards at this time. All payments must be made in person by cash or check for all programs, events, pavilion rentals, marina and driving range. Visit the Parks and Recreation webpage or call 727-812-4530 for more information.
Utility Billing
The Utility Billing Department is currently accepting cash or check payments. Online utility payers can still make payments through the online portal, Paymentus.
Permitting
Due to the cybersecurity incident, the city will wait to collect permit fees. It will issue manual placards to commence work, and the system will prompt collection when it's back up. Call 727-298-3210 with any questions.
Inspections
Online inspection requests are currently not available. Call 727-298-3210 to schedule inspections. More information is on the Building Division website.
