- Dunedin city commissioners decided to repurpose the three tennis courts at Eagle Scout Park by converting them into pickleball courts. This was decided after residents expressed they were against having pickleball courts at Stirling Park, which the city plans to update with new trails, benches, and plant life. It's unlikely a dog park will be built in Stirling Park as pet waste is considered a stormwater pollutant, but the city is considering turning it into a park dedicated to veterans. (TBN Weekly)
- The Dunedin Blue Jays are holding an online auction for the team's Purple Heart Jersey now through Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. Fans can bid on one of 25 jerseys available in various sizes. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Check out some of the players wearing the jersey at the link or in person on Aug. 6 at noon at TD Ballpark! - Hurricane Eddie's is hosting a Second Friday Party & Benefit on Aug. 11 between 5 and 11 p.m. Guests will enjoy $10 bingo, a 50/50 raffle, and more!
