Looking for a great place to put up guests in Dunedin?
We all know Dunedin is a great place to visit. And we love it when our friends and family come to town. We just don’t always want them to actually stay in our homes. But how do we get that across without sounding, you know, a little rude…?
Here’s an idea: strongly suggest they stay at the Mai Tai Suites. Owners John and Karen Bickford offer fully furnished 850 square foot 2-bed, 1-bath suites for less than the price of a hotel.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Dunedin:
- Did you know you can find a RePlay Box full of beach toys at Honeymoon Island? Visitors are encouraged to take toys from the box to play with and either take them home or return them before leaving. Those with beach toys that are no longer used can also donate them to the box. This idea was developed to help keep our beaches clean and plastic out of landfills. You can find the RePlay Box box on the south edge of the North Beach parking. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
- The City of Dunedin is hosting a Decommissioning Event for Old City Hall on Aug. 17 between 4 and 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and enjoy a decommissioning ceremony that will include speeches about the history of the building. If you'd like to say goodbye to the building, it will be open on Aug. 16 between 5 and 7 p.m. and Aug. 17 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Visitors will be given markers to write their favorite memories or messages. (Dunedin Gov)
- Pinellas County Emergency Services and Consumer Protection will host a free seminar on Hurricane Preparedness & Scams on Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. in the Hale Senior Activity Center. Attendees will learn what to expect during a hurricane, how to make decisions about evacuating, and information on public shelters. Guests will also learn about storm-related scams and how to avoid them. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
