DUNEDIN, FL — A woman has been found dead inside a Dunedin home after it caught fire Monday.

At 1:23 p.m., Pinellas County sheriff's deputies responded to 2180 Evans Road in Dunedin for a welfare check on Ivette Martinov. Upon arrival, deputies could smell smoke coming from the home and asked Dunedin Fire Rescue to respond.

Dunedin Fire Rescue forced their way into the home where Martinov was found dead. There was no active fire at the time firefighters entered the home,but there was evidence of a fire.

Detectives are investigating the fire but said the fire does not appear suspicious. The medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
