Child Killed By 3-Year-Old Driving Golf Cart In Lee County: FHP
A 7-year-old boy was hit and killed by a golf cart driven by a 3-year-old on private property in Lee County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
LEE COUNTY, FL — A 7-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a golf cart driven by a 3-year-old on private property in Lee County Monday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
As the boy driving the cart approached a curve near a home on Orange River Boulevard around 4 p.m., he hit the other child, who was standing in the front yard, the agency said.
The 7-year-old was critically injured and brought to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 3-year-old was not hurt in the crash, FHP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
