• Lifesavers arrive: Lee County rec installing 5 AEDs at parks (news-press.com) — New automated external defibrillators are being installed at several Fort Myers-area parks, including Buckingham, Lakes, Three Oaks, Brooks, and Rutenberg, to boost emergency response for cardiac events. The climate-controlled units, paired with Stop the Bleed kits, automatically alert 911 when opened and are part of Lee County’s broader effort to expand lifesaving equipment and public training.
   

• Town confirms Fly Heli behind low-flying helicopter tied to wildlife concerns (fox4now.com) — Residents on Fort Myers Beach are raising alarms about a low-flying Fly Heli helicopter operating near Bowditch Point and Matanzas Pass, worried it may disturb sensitive bird rookeries. Town officials say no helicopter tours are approved in town-controlled waters and confirm they’re talking with the company, while federal and state wildlife agencies have yet to respond to questions about the flights.
