1 FL Hotel Earns Four Diamonds Rating From AAA

FORT MYERS, FL — A downtown Fort Myers hotel is now among others internationally on AAA’s Four Diamonds list, the only Florida venue to make the vaunted list.

Travel agency AAA recently released its list of five hotels and one restaurant which earned the Diamonds designation, and named Luminary Hotel and Company, Autograph Collection on the Gulf Coast to the list.

Inspectors with AAA travel to hotels and restaurants in North America, the Caribbean and Costa Rica to determine if they meet the 4 Cs criteria: cleanliness, comfort, cuisine and consistency.

Other recipients of the designation were Paradox Hotel Vancouver and AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel, both in British Colombia, Canada; Aguascalientes Marriott Hotel in Aguascalientes, Mexico; Hotel Riu Palace Pacifico, Nuevo Vallarta in Nayarit, Mexico; and restaurant Mixtli in San Antonio, Texas.

About 130 Five Diamond hotels, 60 Five Diamond restaurants, 1,700 Four Diamond hotels and 500 Four Diamond restaurants exist in the world, AAA said.

Luminary is near Fort Myers' downtown river district, according to its website.

Amenities include an outdoor pool, a fitness center and bicycles. Eateries Chip Sports Pub, the Silver King Ocean Brasserie, Ella Mae's Diner, Beacon Social Drinkery and Dean Street Coffee Roastery and Retail are available to guests.
