Greetings!

FGCU’s Innovative Education & Partnerships office teamed up with IBM Skills Academy to bring skills-oriented training to our students and communities focused on various technology backgrounds resulting in digital badges that showcase skills/competencies learned through the academy.

Badging began as a way to acknowledge the skills gained by students and professionals in our non-credit professional development courses. Digital badges are flexible and allow students, professionals, and staff alike to showcase their knowledge and abilities. The badges help students/professionals stand out to employers. Your digital badge says that you’ve achieved a credential that is relevant to your career.

Cybersecurity

Build expertise in developing security systems that understand, reason and learn; proactively reacting to cyber threats. This course comprises a unique mix of cybersecurity technical and real-world industry skills, designed to provide awareness on the impact of cybersecurity threats in key industries across geographies. Participants who successfully complete this training will acquire the skills and understanding of Cybersecurity, be proficient in technical topics and design thinking, and has the ability to design/develop a Cybersecurity solution applicable to real-world scenarios.

Re-imagine fundamental business processes and invent new styles of secure digital interactions that will change the way the world works. This explores the topics, technology and skills required to gain practice in the successful implementation of blockchain solutions. Participants who successfully complete this training will acquire the skills and understanding of Blockchain, be proficient in technical topics and design thinking, and has the ability to design/develop a Blockchain solution prototype applicable to real-world scenarios.
