LEE COUNTY, FL — An endangered baby bobcat rescued earlier this year was released back into its natural habitat Tuesday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office wrote in an Instagram post. (Watch a video of the animal’s release below.)

Deputy Lopez found the “stunning fur baby,” who was injured, in Precinct 4, which includes Bonita Springs, on Jan. 7, the agency wrote in a previous post. He brought the bobcat to a Blue Pearl Animal Hospital.

Lopez joined the South Florida Wildlife Center to release “the now safe and healthy bobcat” back into the wild, the sheriff’s office wrote. “What an amazing full circle moment!!”
