Chamber to Launch 'One Giant Step' Campaign March 25

The Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce will be taking "One Giant Step" starting March 25 to kick off its membership campaign. 

According to a chamber news release, on March 25, chamber members and volunteers will be "calling on hundreds of businesses in Gulfport, South Pasadena and abutting areas to invite them to join the rewarding world of Chamber Membership."

Five teams, competing for a place on a newly established “Ambassadors of the Year” annual trophy will fight it out over a four week period from March 25 to April 15, a news release said.

The “One Giant Step,” name for the campaign indicates that a successful campaign will thrust the already growing Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce into the ranks of substantial, full service Chambers in Southwest Pinellas County the chamber said.

The goal of the campaign is to increase the size of the Chamber by 50 percent, a news release said.
