Help Design Gulfport's New Art Mural
Have you seen the "Community Art Project" signs outside Liberty Tax?

Drive along Gulfport Boulevard and you can't miss the bright red signs hanging on Liberty Tax Service. The new signs are posted to help spike interest in the ongoing community mural art project.
Although organizers were enthusiastic about adding community art for all to see on this busy street, the project didn't garner as many submissions as expected when it originally launched last year. Now, the project is being relaunched.
Michelle Kotewa with Liberty Tax Service spearheaded the effort and launched the community mural art project  in November 2012. However, she's only received two art submissions for the three-part mural to be created on the walls of Liberty Tax.
"The project is being revamped," Kotewa said.
Kotewa says the 49th St. South Business Association is "taking the project on" and will relaunch it after their next meeting.
Originally, organizers had hoped to have the murals completed by now. With the new timeline, Kotewa says the hope to see a finished project by early next year.
She says anyone interested in applying can do so at any time. Just stop by Liberty Tax service or contact Kotewa at Liberty Tax Service at (727) 826-0821 or email at libtaxteam@yahoo.com.
Current submissions include Owen Pach and Jonathan Schork and Michael Eismont.
