New Services at Salon M

For the past five years stylist and business owner Marta Woodhead has been luring customers to Salon M with her expertise and experience with styling, haircuts, hair coloring and makeup services. Two months ago Woodhead hired her first employee at the salon.

Kendra Marlett joined Woodhead after spending seven years working at area salons and providing waxing and nail care services.

Woodhead had been looking to expand her services and knew Marlett would be a perfect fit.

"I had been looking for a change. It just fit," Marlett said.

Marlett says working with Woodhead allows her to have more freedom with choosing her products and expanding skin care services.

"I get to choose the products and I can give my clients the best results," she said.

The best part about her job Marlett says is the opportunity to meet new people. 

"People are always happy to see me," she exclaimed.

Marlett offers full waxing services, including a Brazilian bikini wax, and natural nail care, including spa pedicures. Appointments can be made between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Since Marlett's addition to Salon M has resulted in a new Facebook page and one fun idea to encourage everyone to indulge; creating a "Real Men Get Pedicures Club." Marlett encourages wives, moms and daughters to consider buying their loved ones a pedicure for Father's Day.
