Enrollment is starting for many summer camps. Here's a selection of summer camps.
 From sports to the arts, summer camps offer kids enrichment and a chance to have a lot of fun.

Gulfport Area Summer Camps

Type of camp: Recreation/Arts and Crafts/Sports

When: June 11-Aug. 17 from 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m. with extended care available.

Details: Kindergarten through 14 year olds can take part in a variety of activities from play to sports to field trips to various locations across Tampa Bay.

Name: Pasadena Yacht and Country Club Tennis and Golf Camps
Location: Pasadena Yacht and Country Club, 6300 Pasadena Point Blvd. Gulfport, Fla.
Type of camp: Tennis/Golf
Cost: Members $179 per week; Guests $199 per week
When: June 10-July 5 from Friday 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Name: Morean Arts Center Summer Camp

Details: Campers 5-15 years old will spend their days exploring art expressions through clay, glass and other art forms.

Pinellas County Summer CampsName: Pinellas County Summer Camps
Location: Brooker Creek Preserve, 3940 Keystone Rd  Tarpon Springs, Fla.; Weedon Island Preserve , 1800 Weedon Drive NE St. Petersburg, Fla.
Type of camp: Outdoors/Ecology/Archeology
Cost: $150 per week, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
When: Camps run weekly from June 24-July 26

Details: Pinellas County offers three distinct camping opportunities including archeology, herpetology and wildlife exploration. Campers ages 7-11 are welcomed to this weekly program that uses the outdoors as a classroom.

Name: Pinellas County Police Athletic League Summer Camp
Location: Osceoloa High School, 9751 98th St  Largo, Fla.; Wentworth Golf Club, 2990 Wentworth Way  Tarpon Springs, Fla.; Crescent Oaks Country Club, 3300 Crescent Oaks Blvd  Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Type of camp: Sports/Recreation/Golf
Cost: $500 for sports camp; $600 for golf camp.
When: June 11-Aug. 10 from 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m.

Details: Pinellas County PAL Summer Camp offers two distinct programs. A sports focused program serves boys and girls 8-15 years old, while a golf program serves boys and girls 8-15 years old. Both are instructor led and offer lots of recreation for active would-be campers.

Location: More than a dozen participating YMCA locations in Pinellas County.
Type of camp: Sports/Arts/Life Skills
Cost: $85-$115 per week depending on camp.
When: Dates vary but generally June 10-Aug. 16 from 7:00a.m.-6:30p.m.

Details: Youth and teens experience indoor and outdoor activities to motivate, stimulate and recreate them during the summer. Parents and campers can select from a wide variety of camp programs from sports camp to art camp.

Name: St. Petersburg College For Kids Summer CampÂ
Location: At nine locations throughout Pinellas County
Type of camp: Academic/Life Skills/Recreation
Cost: $95 per week with extended care available.

Details: Campers in grades K-8 can take part in a variety of programs from math and science to physical education. Classes are led by credentialed teachers. Campers learn without the stress of grades.
